The Brief
This new-build compact garden was a blank canvas overlooked by surrounding three-storey town houses. The clients were keen to create a contemporary design with changes in levels and two separate seating areas. They were also happy to get rid of the lawn to achieve their goals for the project.
The Solution
The innovative design was inspired by a hexagonal motif which was used both in the paving and a bespoke powder coated steel wood store. A sunken patio was created, paved in porcelain with roof trained trees planted either side and bamboo to the rear to create some privacy from neighbours. An unusual slate wood from CED Ltd was used for the hexagon centre section. The client wanted structural planting with some colour, and climbers will in time cover all the fencing creating a really green space. Subtle lighting completes the look.
